Our journey begins in the savannas of West Africa, where the majestic shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa) has been called the "Tree of Life" for centuries. Shea butter is produced from the kernels of the tree's fruit after they are harvested, dried, roasted, and carefully processed into a smooth, ivory-colored butter.
