Welcome to Southern Luxe Savon. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website SouthernLuxeSavon.com (the "Site") and the purchase of any products we sell. By visiting our Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. About Us

Southern Luxe Savon is a small-batch handcrafted soap and skincare business based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States. Throughout these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Southern Luxe Savon. "You" refers to anyone visiting our Site or buying from us.

2. Eligibility

By using our Site or placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or are using the Site with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian
  • You're providing accurate, current, and complete information
  • You have the legal authority to enter into this agreement

If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to handle the purchase.

3. Accounts

You may be able to create an account on our Site to make checkout faster and track your orders. If you do, you're responsible for:

  • Keeping your password secure
  • All activity that happens under your account
  • Letting us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access

We're not liable for any loss resulting from someone else using your account without your knowledge — but we'll help you sort it out if it happens.

4. Products

Descriptions and Images

We try to describe our products as accurately as possible. Because our soaps are handmade in small batches, there may be slight variations in color, scent strength, weight, and appearance from one bar to the next. Photos are for reference and may not perfectly match what arrives at your door. These variations are part of the handmade nature of our products and are not defects.

Availability

All products are subject to availability. If something you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we'll contact you and offer a replacement, backorder, or full refund.

Ingredients and Allergies

Full ingredient lists are provided on each product page. Please review them before purchasing, especially if you have allergies or sensitive skin. We recommend a patch test before regular use.

Our products are cosmetics intended for external use only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or skin condition.

5. Pricing and Payment

Prices

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD) and don't include applicable taxes or shipping charges, which are added at checkout.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price you pay is the price displayed at the time you complete your order.

Pricing Errors

If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price due to a typo or technical error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund — even after order confirmation. We'll notify you if this happens.

Payment

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods shown at checkout. By providing payment information, you confirm that you're authorized to use the payment method.

Payment is charged at the time the order is placed.

6. Orders

Order Acceptance

When you place an order, you'll get a confirmation email. This confirmation is not yet acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to review and accept or decline orders for any reason, including suspected fraud, pricing errors, or inability to ship to your address.

Your order is officially accepted when we send a shipping confirmation email.

7. Shipping

8. Returns and Refunds

We accept returns of new, unused products within 14 days of delivery. For full details, see our Return & Refund Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, photographs, product images, logos, graphics, design elements, and the overall look and feel — is the property of Southern Luxe Savon and is protected by United States copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, share, and link to our pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or republish our content for commercial use
  • Modify or create derivative works
  • Use our trademarks, brand name, or logos without written permission
  • Scrape, data-mine, or use automated tools to extract content from the Site

If you'd like to use our content (press, reviews, partnerships), email us — we're usually happy to work something out.

10. User-Generated Content

If you submit a review, comment, photo, or other content to our Site or our social media channels:

  • You confirm that the content is yours and doesn't violate anyone else's rights
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and share that content for promotional and business purposes
  • We may edit, remove, or decline to publish any content at our discretion

Please keep submissions respectful and on-topic. We don't tolerate harassment, hate speech, spam, or anything illegal.

11. Acceptable Use

When using our Site, you agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site
  • Interfere with the Site's operation, security, or other users' experience
  • Submit false or misleading information

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Southern Luxe Savon, its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any:

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Southern Luxe Savon and its owners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your misuse of the Site or our products
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

17. Dispute Resolution

Before taking any formal action, you agree to first contact us at hello@SouthernLuxeSavon.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Most problems can be sorted out with a quick conversation.

If that doesn't work, any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised version on this page and update the "Effective Date" at the top. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

For significant changes, we'll do our best to give you a heads-up — usually by email if you have an account, or with a notice on the Site.

19. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. The sections of these Terms that should reasonably survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law, etc.) will continue to apply.

20. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will remain in full effect.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, Return & Refund Policy, and Cancellation Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and Southern Luxe Savon regarding your use of the Site and any purchases.
